i don't know anything about coding but i wanna learn how to, so i'm starting with this website! it'll be a while before it's decently set up, but for now it's just plain text. until then, here's a bit about me !!
maxx is the... mascot? i guess?? for this website -- i didn't rly know what else to choose for the domain name so that might all change, but i didn't wanna use my own name so that's it for now. maxx was created by my bf (check out his website here!) in a... group art session ? for lack of any term i can think of -- i was playing a song i'd written recently and was trying not to forget, and he was drawing whatever came to mind while listening. elliott, maxx, and the song i played all became closely tied for me in that moment, and i carry a plush version of him (a beanie boo we thrifted and dressed up) in my guitar case whenever i take it outside now :>

playing and making music is one of my favorite things, but i'm still inexperienced. i started guitar (my main instrument) around sep 2023, and before that had pretty minimal experience or knowledge in music: i tried learning piano briefly in 2022 and very quickly burnt myself out, and after that took a beginner's theory class. around the same time, i'd also write out lyrics for songs i heard in my head, only to forget how they went as i was writing them... although they always turn out badly like that, i still do the same thing today </3
some of my favorite musicians are mesita, lomelda, j (who has a neocities website!) florist, sufjan stevens, and julien baker !
another big interest for me is video games, which i can also quickly write out favorites for! rain world, celeste and the hollow knight games are my favorites right now, and have been most of what i've been playing for a while, but (same as with music) there's a lot more i want to get into, and a lot i just haven't played recently enough to know how i'd feel about them now
this about me page is rly disorganized at the moment, but i wanted to get something up that isn't whatever i wrote for the tutorial, so this'll do for now. i'll add more here as i clean up the site and learn html, mainly audio and maybe video of covers, my own songs, and other things like that recorded on my phone. i'll probably throw in some photos, blogging, and whatever else i wanna put up here as i go. idk what this website will be like, but i'm excited to see where it goes! i like sharing what i'm interested in, and that's always good motivation to practice skills around those interests
